This is an interesting image, because originally RIdley didn’t want the alien shown, but for the rerelease the film company wanted to capture a nighmarish quality the alien coming at you would create. so they used this image, which was also turned into a limited edition lithograph, which you can still buy. (if you can talk your sigoth into it)
